the void

No wonder the cunt’s smiling.

Richard A. Montoni – the boss of US firm Maximus who will soon be carrying out the despised assessments for sickness and disability benefits – received a salary and compensation package worth over a staggering five million dollars in 2013.

Maximus specialise in outsourced government contracts.  They already run Iain Duncan Smith’s disastrous Work Programme in some parts of the UK, along with a new scheme to harass people on sick leave by declaring them fit to return to work on the back of a short phone call.  As well as operating in the US, Canada and Australia, Maximus also have a welfare-to-work contract with the Saudi Arabian government – where women are segregated in the workplace and forbidden from carrying out many jobs.  From March next year they will take over from Atos running the Work Capability Assessments (WCAs) designed to strip…

Another true, short and sweet, poem of today…

SMILING CARCASS'S TWO-PENNETH

“We have to have austerity!”

Why say that; ‘cause we’re To-ry!

It’s not that we are short of cash

But poor folk we do love to bash

Why pay tax to fund the life

Of poor men and their dreadful wife.

And though my offshore pelf is safe

And hidden from the stray and waif

The little that I do imburse

Is squandered on the public purse

To keep the idle, ill and old

Living on my precious gold

So ‘austerity’s’ the battle cry

And fool the plebs with hope and lies

With promises of jam tomorrow

(How much would you like to borrow?)

Kerr-Ching!

Short but not sweet…

SMILING CARCASS'S TWO-PENNETH

I looked around and thought ‘what?’

These humans, they’re a strange old lot

They kill each other, oft for fun

They’ll use a knife, they’ll use a gun

They claim the thing that they abhor

Is taking arms and making war

And yet they do so on a whim

For land, for oil

For being ‘him’!

Just like every other morning.

Oh yes, Mr Bigot liked Halloween a lot. And this Halloween was going to be particularly special. UKIP had organised a very special party. Mr Bigot was really looking forward to it.

He didn’t really need a costume. He was scary enough as it was – and he knew it. Just a set of fangs and a cloak would do. He could put on a Romanian accent – everyone knew Romanians were scary…
